This is a wonderful local Thai restaurant that my family has been visiting for over 20 years. The food here is exceptional and well priced. The staff is attentive and friendly, and balance a busy kitchen well with kind caring service.
It is absolutely the best Thai food in the area and I recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious bite to eat eat for lunch or dinner. The dishes served here are extremely flavorful, and are not overpowering in heat – though you can order nearly everything more or less spicy.
I highly recommend Sala Thai as the best Thai food in town. Every other Thai restaurant that I’ve been to throughout San Diego and across the country falls short.

Hidden gem! I stopped by here on the way home from grocery shopping with my BF, it was supposed to be a quick stop. But once we saw the inside we decided to sit down and stay. The inside is nicely decorated with simple pretty lavender accents. The overall atmosphere was laid-back but very nice. The service was quick and fast and the food was delicious! Below I have a Thai tea, chicken yellow curry, and chicken curry rice. All were so delicious! Definitely coming again. Great place for dates, or for bringing the family and kids. A little slow.
